About

Welcome to my academic page! I am Shanon S. Taylor, and I work in the Educator Preparation department at the University of Nevada, Reno. My professional journey is driven by a passion for fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students. This website serves as a resource for my research, teaching, and service activities, offering insights into my work and perspectives within the field of education.

Here you will find information about my publications, including recent articles such as "School Disturbance Laws: What They Are, How They Are Used, and How They Impact Students" published in SAGE Open (2024) and "Trauma-Informed Care in Schools: A Necessity in the Time of COVID-19" in Beyond Behavior (2021). I am committed to addressing critical issues in education, such as trauma-informed practices, special education teacher preparation, and strategies for managing challenging behaviors in the classroom. I hope this site provides valuable information and encourages collaboration among educators and researchers.
